10/28/2025  Why it is Important to have a PMA       Why is it important to have a PMA? What is PMA? For me PMA stands for Positive Mental Attitude. It is something that was taught to me at a very young age by my father's cousin Joe. He taught me that no matter what happens to you in life, you always have to have a positive mental attitude. Before I met Dad's cousin Joe, he was diagnosed with cancer. After he was diagnosed, he contacted my dad, and he told him that he wanted to take my brother and I turkey hunting. We went hunting with him, and we spent a lot of time in the woods with him that spring. We learned a lot from him. He was always preaching about being positive no matter what was thrown at you. I ended up getting my first turkey with him that spring. A few months had past, my dad told me and my brother the news. Joe had passed away.  10/27/2025  Being Outdoors Being outdoors is very beneficial for our health. It is more important than most people think. There are many physical health, mental health, and social health benefits that comes with being outside. It can reduce stress, improve mood, increase sleep quality, lower blood pressure and heart rate, increase physical activity, and give stronger social connections. I highly recommend everyone to get outside whenever they have free time.

PSAC Championships Reflection

10/26/2                                        PSAC Championships Reflection      It was a muddy course when we first got there. Then the women raced before the men, so they tore up the course even more. The whole team was in a good mood from the time we got on the bus until the starter gun went off. Once the race started, I was engulfed by runners. It is quite an experience hearing 300 feet pounding the ground at 5 flat pace. I positioned myself pretty well off the gun. There was mud flying everywhere. Throughout the race I slowly worked my way up, picking people off one by one. I ended up finishing 30th with a 2 second PR which I did not expect with the muddy course. I also mad the All PSAC 2nd team. Afterwards we had a cookout. It was an awesome day.

Preparing for XC PSAC Championships

10/23/2025 Preparing For PSAC Championships         PSAC Championships are this weekend at Edinboro. Our team here at Slippery Rock will take our top 12 guys and compete against all of the other teams in the conference. Two weeks after PSAC Championships we will take our top 8 guys to compete at Regionals at Lock Haven. The top team at regionals and the top five individuals will advance to nationals. This is a very stressful part of the season.  We want everything that we have worked for to pay off, as we have spent hours out of each day for months preparing for this.  We have spent months now doing tough workouts, long runs, and lifting weights. We have been prepping our bodies for this exact moment since May. For right now, we just have to focus on this weekend. We have been preparing for this part of our season for months now. We have put in more work than most people realize. When the starting cannon goes off this Saturday at 11 o'clock, all we can...
